About Celebrex
CELEBREX is an NSAID that relieves arthritis pain, stiffness, and inflammation. For many people, just one 200-mg dose provides 24-hour relief. CELEBREX has never been taken off the market; on average, more than 1 million prescriptions are filled for CELEBREX each month.
How To Take
Be sure to take your Celebrex regularly and on schedule. It takes a week or two for the effects of this drug to build up enough for you to realize a significant benefit from it. Missing doses, especially early on in your treatment, won't allow enough Celebrex to accumulate in your system to help you.
Rare side effects that have been reported in patients taking CELEBREX:
Serious stomach problems, such as stomach and intestinal bleeding, can occur with or without warning symptoms. These problems, if severe, could lead to hospitalization or death. Although this happens rarely, you should watch for signs that you may have this serious side effect.
Serious allergic reactions including swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat which may cause difficulty breathing or swallowing and wheezing occur rarely but may require treatment right away. Severe skin reactions have also been reported.
Serious kidney problems occur rarely, including acute kidney failure and worsening of chronic kidney failure.
Severe liver problems, including hepatitis, jaundice and liver failure, occur rarely in patients taking NSAIDs, including CELEBREX. Symptoms of liver problems include nausea, tiredness, itching, tenderness in the right upper abdomen, and flu-like symptoms.
Overdose
If you miss a dose of Generic Celebrex, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT take 2 doses at once.
Storage
Store Generic Celebrex at room temperature between 59?°F and 86?°F (15?°C and 30?°C) in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light.
Drug Interactions
Celebrex may interact with many other medicines to make them less effective or increase their side effects. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether Celebrex interacts with other medicines you are taking.
